"A Veteran Tar"

Peter C. Parker, 32 Durston Ave., Ossining, N.Y., writes that he is now a helpless paralytic and over 70. He will receive the benefit of the new law. During the war he was attached to the steamer Tecumseh, the Chenango and also the U.S.S. Tennessee and to the rebel ram which after the capture of Mobile, was changed to the U.S.S. Mobile. He was also on the Lenappe, and is the only survivor of 17 men on the Monitor Tecumseh.
