Robert Deans - Fireman 1st Class

Robert Deans was born circa 1826 in Ireland and enlisted on 13 January 1864 at the New York Naval Rendezvous as a 1st class fireman for a one year enlistment term [1]. He was attached to the U.S.S. Tecumseh on 20 April 1864 [2].

Deans was admitted to Naval Hospital Pensacola on 29 July 1864 with "pleuritis" and died there on 25 August 1864.[3]

Likely in the "New" Burying Ground, Warrington.
